Calvin's phone service provider has stated that all of their affected services recovered between 11:15AM and 11:30AM and have been stable since. The provider's stated reason for the outage was public Internet routing instability requiring that their call traffic be re-routed, which did not happen automatically. The provider manually intervened to re-route traffic and phone service was subsequently restored to their affected customers.
Please notify the Helpdesk if you are having trouble placing or receiving calls from a campus phone.
Our phone service provider has sent a notification saying that they have resolved the issues in their system and that in and outbound calls should be operational. CIT will continue to monitor but please let us know if you are still experiencing issues making or receiving calls on a campus phone.
