We're just about ready to invite users into Education Cloud. There is a current issue with texting that we are raising to Mogli, our SMS software provider, which is preventing sending text messages.

Most campus-facing and external-facing forms are available and connected. The Student Contact Form is having some errors that are currently being investigated.

As part of the Salesforce cutover, when our SMS provider imported historic SMS messages, their message import accidentally triggered notification emails to SMS users. We are in the process of removing the notifications from users' inboxes.

Our planned cutover from our current Salesforce EDA org (calvin.my.salesforce.com) to Education Cloud is planned for June 9 starting about 11 AM.

This will not impact users of the NPSP org (calvinuniversity.my.salesforce.com), the system primarily used by advancement and alumni users.

The upgrade will happen across several visible steps on launch day:

  • Forms that drive current processes will be disabled.
  • Users' accounts in the old system will be disabled.
  • User accounts will be enabled in the new system, and you can start editing records, handling cases, etc.
  • Forms will come up individually throughout the day.

Information on the process will be communicated to users via email, and updates will be posted here during launch.

After cutover is complete, we will begin a process to import any recently updated records, where updates have been made or records have been created after the initial data import. This process may take several days, and updates will be provided via our errata document.
